Private Hospitals and Medical Clinics
(Clinical Laboratories — Exemption)
Regulations 2020

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 21 and 22(1) of the Private Hospitals and Medical Clinics Act, the Minister for Health makes the following Regulations:

Citation and period in force

1.—(1) These Regulations are the Private Hospitals and Medical Clinics (Clinical Laboratories — Exemption) Regulations 2020.

(2) These Regulations are in force for the period between 5 March 2020 and 4 September 2020 (both dates inclusive).

Exemption

2. Section 5(1) and (2) of the Act and regulation 49 of the Private Hospitals and Medical Clinics Regulations (Rg 1) do not apply in relation to any clinical laboratory operated by the Home Team Science and Technology Agency’s Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNE) Centre of Expertise, subject to the conditions stated in the letter of approval issued in respect of each clinical laboratory.
