Public Order (Asia-pacific Economic Co-operation 2009 Leaders’ Week) Declaration 2009

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 of the Public Order Act 2009, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Declaration:

Citation

1. This Declaration may be cited as the Public Order (Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation 2009 Leaders’ Week) Declaration 2009.

Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation 2009 Leaders’ Week is special event

2. The event known as Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation 2009 Leaders’ Week being held at the Marina Bay area and the Istana between 8th November 2009 and 15th November 2009 (both dates inclusive) is hereby declared a special event for the purposes of Part III of the Act.

Special event sites

3.—(1) The special event sites for the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation 2009 Leaders’ Week are the areas in the Marina Bay area and the Istana described in the First and Second Schedules, respectively.

(2) Notwithstanding sub-paragraph (1), any land that is not a public place shall not be part of the special event sites.

Period of special event

4. The period for which this Declaration is in force starts on 8th November 2009 and ends at midnight on 15th November 2009.

Expiry

5. This Declaration expires on 16th November 2009.
