Protection from Online Falsehoods
and Manipulation (Exemption from
Sections 21(2)(a) and (b) and 22(2)(a))
Order 2019
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 61 of the Protection from Online Falsehoods and Manipulation Act 2019, the Minister for Communications and Information makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order is the Protection from Online Falsehoods and Manipulation (Exemption from Sections 21(2)(a) and (b) and 22(2)(a)) Order 2019 and comes into operation on 2 October 2019.
Exemption
2.  The following prescribed internet intermediaries are exempt from sections 21(2)(a) and (b) and 22(2)(a) of the Act:
(a)Baidu, Inc., in respect of Baidu;
(b)Google LLC, in respect of Google Search.
