Postal Services Regulations 2000
In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 51 (2) and 61 of the Postal Services Act 1999, the Info-communications Development Authority of Singapore appointed as the Postal Authority, with the approval of the Minister for Communications and Information Technology, hereby makes the following Regulations:
PART I
PRELIMINARY
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Postal Services Regulations 2000 and shall come into operation on 21st January 2000.
Definitions
2.  In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires —
“insured letter” shall be deemed to include any insured letter which is transmissible under the Universal Postal Union Agreement for the exchange of insured letters for the time being in force, and the detailed regulations thereunder;
“Postal Services Guide” means the Guide issued by the public postal licensee under regulation 20;
“prohibited article” means any article that is prohibited under regulation 3 from being posted or conveyed or delivered by post.
