Rapid Transit System Fares

It is hereby notified for general information that, under section 20(1) of the Public Transport Council Act, the Public Transport Council has approved, with effect from 6th November 1999, the following amendments to the Rapid Transit System Fares Notification (N 1).

2. The Rapid Transit System Fares Notification is amended —

(a)

by deleting the heading to the Notification and substituting the following heading:

“RAPID TRANSIT SYSTEM (MRT) FARES”;

(b)

by deleting the words “rapid transit system services” in paragraph (a) and substituting the words “MRT services”; and

(c)

by inserting, immediately after the first paragraph, the following paragraph:

“2. In this Notification, “MRT” is the abbreviation for the rapid transit system known as the Mass Rapid Transit System.”.
