Public Utilities (Composition of Offences)
Regulations 2014
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 59(2) of the Public Utilities Act, the Public Utilities Board, with the approval of the Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Public Utilities (Composition of Offences) Regulations 2014 and shall come into operation on 1 January 2015.
Compoundable offences
2.  The offences under the following provisions may be compounded by the Board in accordance with section 59(1) of the Act:
(a)any offence (other than a continuing offence) under section 9(2), 19(2), 33(2), 34(2), 37(1), 40(4) (including any such offence for which a person is liable by virtue of section 56A), 45(7), 46(3), 47(1), 50(1)(a) or (b), 51, 55(3)(a) or 57(1) of the Act;
(b)any offence under regulation 38 or 41 of the Public Utilities (Reservoirs and Catchment Areas) Regulations 2006 (G.N. No. S 401/2006);
(c)any offence (other than a continuing offence) under regulation 4(4), 6(3), 7(3), 8(3), 9(5), 10(2)(a), 11(2), 12(1), (3) or (4), 13(4), 14(3), 15(3)(a) or (4), 23(3), 24(7), 25(2), 26(2), 28(3), 29(2), 30(3), 31(2), 32(2), 33(4), 36(5), 39(3), 40(4), 40A(4), (6) or (7), 40D(3), 40E(6), 40G(2), 40H(5), 40I(2), 40J(5) or 40K(6) of the Public Utilities (Water Supply) Regulations (Rg 5).
Revocation
3.  The Public Utilities (Composition of Offences) Regulations (Rg 10) are revoked.
