Registered Designs Act 2000

Registered Designs (Excluded Day) Rules 2000
In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 64 and 72 of the Registered Designs Act 2000, the Minister for Law hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Registered Designs (Excluded Day) Rules 2000.
Excluded day
2.  In addition to the excluded days set out in rule 60 of the Registered Designs Rules 2000 (G.N. No. S 504/2000), 26th December 2000 shall be an excluded day for all purposes under the Act and the Registered Designs Rules 2000 except for —
(a)any inspection of the Register under section 55 of the Act; and
(b)the making of any application for registration of a registered design, not being an application in which a claim for a right of priority under section 12 or 13 of the Act is made.
Hours of business
3.—(1)  For the purposes of rule 2, the Registry shall be open to the public on 26th December 2000 between 8.30 a.m. and 5.00 p.m.
(2)  The Registry shall be deemed to be closed between 12.00 a.m. and 8.30 a.m. and between 5.00 p.m. and midnight on 26th December 2000.
