Remote Gambling
(Exemption) Order 2018

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 40 of the Remote Gambling Act 2014, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:

Citation

1. This Order is the Remote Gambling (Exemption) Order 2018.

Definitions

2. In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires —

“draw” means the draw to be held at 5 p.m. on 19 October 2018 at 40 Scotts Road, Environment Building, Singapore 228231, as part of the promotion;

“organiser” means the National Environment Agency established by section 3 of the National Environment Agency Act (Cap. 195);

“promotion” means the promotion called “Energy‑Saving Challenge” that is to be made available from 1 May 2018 to 31 August 2018 (both dates inclusive) on the website at http://cgs.sg/esc;

“public accountant” has the meaning given by section 2(1) of the Accountants Act (Cap. 2).

Exemption

3.—(1) The organiser is exempt from sections 11, 13, 15 and 17 of the Act in respect of the promotion and the draw.

(2) The exemption is subject to compliance by the organiser with the conditions specified in the Schedule.
