Citation and commencement |
1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Collection of Tolls at Woodlands and Tuas Checkpoints) Rules 1998 and shall come into operation on 17th March 1998 at 8 a.m. |

2. In these Rules, unless the context otherwise requires —

4.—(1) The toll chargeable for using the —

Toll coupons |
5.—(1) The Registrar or any authorised officer may issue to any person a toll coupon upon payment of the appropriate toll as specified in the Schedule.

Power to prohibit entry into or departure from Singapore |
6. Notwithstanding anything in these Rules, where a person driving a motor vehicle has contravened, or is reasonably suspected by the Registrar or an authorised officer to have contravened, rule 3(2) or 5(4)(d), the Registrar or authorised officer may prohibit such person from driving the motor vehicle past an immigration clearance point into or out of Singapore until such person has obtained a toll coupon appropriate to the vehicle. |
