Road Traffic (Youth Olympic Games 2010) (Exemption) Order 2010
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Order:
Citation
1.  This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Youth Olympic Games 2010) (Exemption) Order 2010.
Definitions
2.  In this Order —
“official label” means an official label issued by the Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee;
“Youth Olympic Games 2010” means the 2010 Youth Olympic Games to be held in Singapore from 14th August 2010 to 26th August 2010 (both dates inclusive);
“Youth Olympic lane” and “Youth Olympic Games vehicle” have the same meanings as in the Road Traffic (Youth Olympic Games Traffic Scheme) Rules 2010 (G.N. No. S 377/2010).
Exemption
3.—(1)  Rule 12 of the Road Traffic (Expressway Traffic) Rules (R 23) and rule 5 of the Road Traffic Rules (R 5) shall not apply in relation to any Youth Olympic Games vehicle that is being driven in a Youth Olympic lane during the period from 12th July 2010 to 26th August 2010 (both dates inclusive).
(2)  Rule 8 of the Road Traffic (Expressway Traffic) Rules shall not apply in relation to any vehicle used or owned by any agency or company set out in the Schedule and displaying an official label during the periods from 19th July 2010 to 22nd July 2010 (both dates inclusive) and from 5th August 2010 to 26th August 2010 (both dates inclusive).
