Road Traffic (2009 Formula 1Tm Singtel Singapore Grand Prix) (Exemption) Order 2009
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport hereby makes the following Order:
Citation
1.  This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (2009 FORMULA 1TM SingTel Singapore Grand Prix) (Exemption) Order 2009.
Definition
2.  In this Order, “designated roads” means the racing circuit designated and approved for use by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile, the Singapore Tourism Board and the Land Transport Authority of Singapore for the purpose of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile Formula One World Championship 2009 and the roads that fall within the area surrounded by the racing circuit, which is more particularly shown in the Schedule.
Exemption
3.—(1)  Sections 5, 10, 10A, 11, 11A(3), 12, 15, 25, 29, 34A to 34E, 90 and 91 of the Act shall not apply to any motor vehicle which —
(a)is used for the purpose of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile Formula One World Championship 2009 in Singapore within the designated roads; and
(b)has in force a policy of insurance in relation to that motor vehicle insuring the owner of the motor vehicle or such other person (as may be specified in the policy) who drives the motor vehicle jointly and each of them severally against any liability which may be incurred by the owner or that other person jointly or by either of them severally, in respect of the death of or bodily injury to any person caused by or arising out of the use of the motor vehicle in Singapore.
(2)  The exemption referred to in sub-paragraph (1) shall be valid from 23rd September 2009 to 29th September 2009 (both dates inclusive).
