(Exemption) (No. 3) Order 2011
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Order:
Citation
1.  This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (2011 FORMULA 1™ SingTel Singapore Grand Prix) (Exemption) (No. 3) Order 2011.
Definition
2.  In this Order, “designated roads” means the racing circuit designated and approved for use by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile, the Singapore Tourism Board and the Land Transport Authority of Singapore for the purpose of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile Formula One World Championship 2011 and the roads that fall within the area surrounded by the racing circuit, which are more particularly shown in the Schedule.
Exemption
3.—(1)  Sections 35, 62, 63, 64, 65, 65B, 66, 67, 68, 84 and 120 of the Act and rules 4 and 5 of the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Wearing of Seat Belts) Rules (R 34) shall not apply to any motor vehicle —
(a)which is used for the purpose of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile Formula One World Championship 2011 in Singapore within the designated roads; and
(b)in relation to which there is in force a policy of insurance insuring the owner of the motor vehicle or such other person (as may be specified in the policy) who drives the motor vehicle jointly and each of them severally against any liability which may be incurred by the owner or that other person jointly or by either of them severally, in respect of the death of or bodily injury to any person caused by or arising out of the use of the motor vehicle in Singapore.
(2)  The exemption referred to in sub-paragraph (1) shall be valid from 23rd September 2011 to 25th September 2011 (both dates inclusive).
