These Rules prescribe the court processes in relation to civil proceedings for claims and orders under Part 3 of the Protection from Harassment Act (Cap. 256A) (PH proceedings). Part 2 of the Rules relate to simplified proceedings in the Protection from Harassment Court (PH Court) which apply only where the case is not complex. Part 3 relates to standard proceedings in the PH court and other State Courts. Part 4 relates to applications for mandatory treatment orders. Part 5 contains provisions on the identification of an unknown party by an internet address or website or a unique identifier, and other provisions which apply to both simplified proceedings and standard proceedings such as service, access to information and powers of the court to make directions. Leave is required to commence PH proceedings in the first instance in courts other than the PH Court. Part 6 relates to applications for such leave. Part 7 relates to the transfer of PH proceedings from the State Courts. Part 8 contains general provisions relating to PH proceedings.
