Smoking (Prohibition in Certain Places)
(Composition of Offences)
Regulations 2020
In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 7(3) and 11(1) of the Smoking (Prohibition in Certain Places) Act, the National Environment Agency, with the approval of the Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Smoking (Prohibition in Certain Places) (Composition of Offences) Regulations 2020 and come into operation on 15 August 2020.
Compoundable offences
2.  The offences under sections 3(2), 3C(6), 4B(1), 5(3) and 6(4) and (6) of the Act (other than a continuing offence) may be compounded by the Director‑General in accordance with section 7(1) of the Act.
Revocation
3.  The Smoking (Prohibition in Certain Places) (Composition of Offences) Regulations (Rg 1) are revoked.
