Citation |
1. These By-laws may be cited as the Town Council of Tanjong Pagar (Penalties and Administrative Fee for Late Payment of Conservancy and Service Charges and Licence Fees) By-laws. |
Penalty for conservancy and service charges and licence fees in arrears |
Administrative fee |
3.—(1) Where any conservancy and service charge or licence fee or any part thereof due to the Town Council of Tanjong Pagar remains unpaid for a period of 6 months or more from the date on which it was due, the tenant, owner or licensee liable for such charge or fee shall, in addition to any penalty which may be imposed under by-law 2, be liable to pay to the Town Council an administrative fee of $50.

Recovery of licence fee |
4. Nothing in these By-laws shall prejudice any right of action or other remedy of the Town Council for the recovery of any moneys due to the Town Council in respect of any antecedent breach by the licensee under any licence agreement entered into between the Town Council and the licensee. |
Application of payment |
5. The Town Council may, in its discretion, apply any moneys paid by the tenant, owner or licensee firstly towards the payment of the amount of any penalty and administrative fee payable under these By-laws and subsequently apply any balance thereof towards payment of any amount of outstanding conservancy and service charges or licence fees. |
Remission |
6. The Town Council may, in its discretion, remit wholly or in part any penalty or administrative fee payable under these By-laws. |
Saving |
7. Notwithstanding the revocation of the Town Council of Tanjong Pagar (Penalties and Administrative Fee for Late Payment of Conservancy and Service Charges and Licence Fees) By-laws, any penalty or administrative fee payable under those By-laws shall be deemed to be a penalty or administrative fee payable under these By-laws.
