Order 2024

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36 of the Interpretation Act 1965, the Minister for Social and Family Development makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order is the Interpretation (Delegations by Minister for Social and Family Development) Order 2024 and comes into operation on 1 March 2024.

Definitions

2. In this Order —

“MSF Deputy Secretary” means any Deputy Secretary to the Ministry of Social and Family Development;

“MSF Permanent Secretary” means any Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Social and Family Development;

“MSF political office holder” means —

(a)	any Second Minister for Social and Family Development;
(b)	any Minister of State assigned by the Prime Minister to assist the Minister for Social and Family Development; and
(c)	any Parliamentary Secretary assigned by the Prime Minister to assist the Minister for Social and Family Development.

Delegations to political office holders

3. The Minister for Social and Family Development, with the Prime Minister’s approval, delegates the functions under the provisions of the Acts specified in the first column of the First Schedule to the persons specified in the third column of the First Schedule, subject to the conditions (if any) specified in the fourth column of the First Schedule.

Delegations to other persons

4. The Minister for Social and Family Development delegates the functions under the provisions of the Acts specified in the first column of the Second Schedule to the persons specified in the third column of the Second Schedule, subject to the conditions (if any) specified in the fourth column of the Second Schedule.
