(Cycling Without Age — Exemption)
(Amendment No. 2) Order 2025
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 66 of the Active Mobility Act 2017, the Minister for Transport makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order is the Active Mobility (Cycling Without Age — Exemption) (Amendment No. 2) Order 2025 and comes into operation on 31 March 2025.
Amendment of paragraph 1
2.  In the Active Mobility (Cycling Without Age — Exemption) Order 2021 (G.N. No. S 676/2021) (called in this Order the principal Order), in paragraph 1(2), replace “31 March 2025” with “31 March 2027”.
Amendment of paragraph 2
3.  In the principal Order, in paragraph 2, in the definition of “specified route”, after “that is”, insert “bounded or”.
Amendment of paragraph 3
4.  In the principal Order, in paragraph 3 —
(a)in sub‑paragraph (1)(e)(iv), delete “and” at the end;
(b)in sub‑paragraph (1)(e), replace sub‑paragraph (v) with —
(v)keeps a distance of at least 50 metres away from —
(A)any other specified e‑trishaw; or
(B)(where sub‑paragraph (vi) applies) any other group of specified e‑trishaws, or any other specified e‑trishaw that is not in a group of specified e‑trishaws; and
(vi)drives the specified e‑trishaw on the specified route with other drivers of specified e‑trishaws in a group, only if —
(A)the specified route is in Part 15 of the Schedule; and
(B)the group of specified e‑trishaws consists of not more than 3 specified e‑trishaws;”;
(c)in sub‑paragraph (2), replace sub‑paragraphs (a) and (b) with —
(a)for the specified routes in Parts 1, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 11, 13 and 14 of the Schedule — from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on a weekday, Saturday or Sunday;
(b)for the specified routes in Part 2 of the Schedule — from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on a weekday, Saturday or Sunday;”;
(d)in sub‑paragraph (2), delete sub‑paragraphs (ba), (c), (f) and (g);
(e)in sub‑paragraph (2), replace sub‑paragraphs (h), (i) and (j) with —
(h)for the specified route in Part 12 of the Schedule — from 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. on a weekday, Saturday or Sunday;
(i)for the specified route in Part 13A of the Schedule —
(i)from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on a Saturday, Sunday or weekday (being a public holiday); and
(ii)from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on a day other than a Saturday, Sunday or weekday (being a public holiday);
(j)for the specified route in Part 15 of the Schedule — from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on a weekday, Saturday or Sunday.”;
(f)in sub‑paragraph (3), replace sub‑paragraphs (a) and (aa) with —
(a)for the specified routes in Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 13A and 14 of the Schedule — 4;
(aa)for the specified routes in Parts 7 and 12 of the Schedule — 2;”; and
(g)in sub‑paragraph (3), replace sub‑paragraphs (c) and (d) with —
(c)for the specified routes in Parts 10, 11, 13 and 15 of the Schedule — 6.”.
Amendment of Schedule
5.  In the principal Order, in the Schedule —
(a)in the Schedule reference, replace “3(2) and (3)” with “3(1), (2) and (3)”;
(b)in Part 5, in Division 1, replace Map A5.1 with —
