Basic Search is available in the Home page as well as at the top menu bar of this website.

Basic Search allows you to quickly search for legislation by legislation title, legislation number or legislation content. Basic Search has the following 2 search options:

(a) Search within Title/No.
(b) Search within Content.

Search within Title/No.

Search within Title/No. is the default option for Basic Search.

You can enter part of the legislation title, legislation number (e.g., 170/2012) or acronym of the legislation title (e.g., “aa” for Accountants Act) in the search box. As you type the search word in the search box, a dropdown list of suggested search words will be displayed for your selection.

In the Basic Search panel, select the type of legislation you wish to perform your search within. The default selection is ‘Current Acts and Subsidiary Legislation’.

Press Enter or click on the Search icon to start the search.

Search within Content

Click on the Content radio button to search within legislation content.

You can choose (from the dropdown list) to search using all the words, any of the words or the exact phrase you have entered in the search box. The default search parameter is ‘All of these words’.

In addition, you can select the type of legislation you wish to perform your search within. The default selection is ‘Current Acts and Subsidiary Legislation’.
