This function enables you to compare changes made to a selected provision in an informal consolidation of a legislation against the Revised Edition of the legislation that was published before the informal consolidation. 


To activate the Compare Changes function:

(a) In the TOC panel, tick the box next to the provision that you wish to compare, and click the Get Provisions button at the bottom of the TOC panel. 



(b) Click on Timeline in the sticky panel at the top of the page to display the timeline of the provision. Ensure that the Provision tab is selected.



(c) Click on the revelant Compare Changes link appearing at the bottom of the Revised Edition of the legislation. 


(d) When the relevant Compare Changes is clicked, the Comparison View page for the provision will be displayed. Select the informal consolidation that is to be compared against the Revised Edition. 



(e) For amendments made after 2011, the Compare Changes function highlights the text that has been deleted (in most cases) or inserted. To see the highlighted text, tick the box next to Show Differences in the sticky panel at the top of the page. 



(f) To exit from the Comparison View, click on the Exit Comparison View button.
