Infectious Diseases
(Prescribed Institutions)
(Amendment) Regulations 2024

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 73(1) of the Infectious Diseases Act 1976, the Minister for Health makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Infectious Diseases (Prescribed Institutions) (Amendment) Regulations 2024 and come into operation on 6 December 2024.

Amendment of regulation 1

2. In the Infectious Diseases (Prescribed Institutions) Regulations 2008 (G.N. No. S 300/2008) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations), in regulation 1, after “Prescribed”, insert “Entities and”.

Replacement of regulation 2

3. In the principal Regulations, replace regulation 2 with —

“Prescribed entities and institutions

2. For the purposes of section 4(1)(c) of the Act, the prescribed entities or institutions, any employee of which may be appointed a Health Officer for the purposes of the Act or any provision of the Act, are specified in the Schedule.”.

Amendment of Schedule

4. In the principal Regulations, in the Schedule —

(a)

replace the Schedule heading with —

“ENTITIES AND INSTITUTIONS”;

(b)

before item 1, insert —

“1. Agency for Integrated Care Pte. Ltd.”;

(c)

renumber the existing item 1 as item 1A;

(d)

in item 3, delete “/Woodbridge Hospital”;

(e)

after item 4A, insert —

“4B. MOH Holdings Pte Ltd”;

(f)

in items 5, 6 and 7, after “Centre”, insert “Singapore”;

(g)

after item 6, insert —

“6A. National Healthcare Group Pte Ltd”;

(h)

after item 9, insert —

“9A. National University Health System Pte. Ltd.”;

(i)

after item 10A, insert —

“10AA. Raffles Medical Group Ltd”;

(j)

after item 11, insert —

“11A. Singapore Health Services Pte Ltd”;

(k)

in item 13, after “Hospital”, insert “(including the National Centre for Infectious Diseases)”; and

(l)

after item 13, insert —

“13A. Woodlands Health”.
