An Act to give effect to the Public Officers’ Pension (Singapore) Agreement, 1976, between the Government of the Republic of Singapore and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. |
Be it enacted by the President with the advice and consent of the Parliament of Singapore, as follows: — |
Short title |
1. This Act may be cited as the Pensions (Expatriate Officers) Act, 1976. |
Interpretation |
2. In this Act —

Law relating to pensions to cease to apply to officers and other persons falling within Agreement |
3. With effect from the appointed day specified for the purpose of the Agreement, the law relating to pensions shall cease to apply to any officer or to his widow or child or to his legal personal representative in respect of whom the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has assumed responsibility for the payment of pension in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement. |
