Post Office Savings Bank (Amendment) Ordinance

An Ordinance to amend the Post Office Savings Bank Ordinance (Chapter 106 of the Revised Edition).
Be it enacted by the Yang di-Pertuan Negara with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Singapore, as follows: —
Short title
1.  This Ordinance may be cited as the Post Office Savings Bank (Amendment) Ordinance, 1961.
Amendment of section 11
2.  Section 11 of the Post Office Savings Bank Ordinance is hereby amended —
(a)by deleting the words “shall be approved from time to time by the Yang di-Pertuan Negara” appearing in the eighth and ninth lines of subsection (1) thereof and substituting therefor the words “he shall from time to time approve”;
(b)by deleting the colon appearing in the eleventh line of subsection (1) thereof and substituting therefor a full-stop;
(c)by deleting the proviso to subsection (1) thereof; and
(d)by deleting the words “Yang di-Pertuan Negara” appearing in the third line of the proviso to subsection (2) thereof and substituting therefor the words “Minister for Finance”.
