Rubber Estates (Surcharge on Assessment) (Amendment) Ordinance

An Ordinance to amend the Rubber Estates (Surcharge on Assessment Ordinance ( Chapter 169 of the Revised Edition).

Be it enacted by the Yang di-Pertuan Negara with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Singapore, as follows: —

Short title and commencement

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Rubber Estates (Surcharge on Assessment) (Amendment) Ordinance, 1961, and shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of January 1961.

Amendment of section 3

2. Section 3 of the Rubber Estates (Surcharge on Assessment) Ordinance is hereby amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “Rural Board” appearing in the second line thereof and substituting therefor the word “Minister”; and
(b)	by deleting the words “one half of” appearing in the third line thereof.

Amendment of section 4

3. Section 4 of the Rubber Estates (Surcharge on Assessment) Ordinance is hereby amended by deleting the words “Rural Board” appearing in the first line thereof and substituting therefor the word “Minister”.
