An Ordinance to amend the Advocates and Solicitors Ordinance (Chapter 188 of the Revised Edition). |
Be it enacted by the Yang di-Pertuan Negara with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Singapore, as follows: — |
Short title |
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Advocates and Solicitors (Amendment) Ordinance, 1961. |
Amendment of section 2 |
2. Section 2 of the Advocates and Solicitors Ordinance is hereby amended by inserting immediately after the word “Malaya” at the end of the definition of “qualified person” appearing therein the words “or a person who has passed the final examination for the degree of Bachelor of Laws in the University of Malaya”. |
