Rehabilitation Loan Appropriation (Repeal) Ordinance

An Ordinance to repeal the 1946 Rehabilitation Loan Appropriation Ordinance, 1947 (No. 41 of 1947) and to provide for matters incidental thereto.
Be it enacted by the Yang di-Pertuan Negara with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Singapore, as follows: —
Short title
1.  This Ordinance may be cited as the 1946 Rehabilitation Loan Appropriation (Repeal) Ordinance, 1961.
Unexpended balance to be paid into Development Fund and outstanding claims to be paid out of the Consolidated Fund
2.  Upon the coming into operation of this Ordinance —
(a)all the unexpended balance of money remaining after defraying expenditure under the 1946 Rehabilitation Loan Appropriation Ordinance, 1947, shall be paid into the Development Fund established by section 2 of the Development Fund Ordinance, 1959 (Ord. 52 of 1959); and
(b)any claim outstanding under the provisions of the 1946 Rehabilitation Loan Appropriation Ordinance, 1947, shall be paid out of the Consolidated Fund.
Expenditure of moneys to be deemed to have been lawfully incurred
3.  Notwithstanding the provisions of section 2 of the 1946 Rehabilitation Loan Appropriation Ordinance, 1947, all expenditure of moneys raised under the provisions of the Loan Ordinance, 1946 (Ord. 14 of 1946), shall be deemed to have been lawfully incurred.
Repeal
4.  The 1946 Rehabilitation Loan Appropriation Ordinance, 1947 (Ord. 41 of 1947), is hereby repealed.
