Judges’ Remuneration (Amendment) Bill

An Act to amend the Judges’ Remuneration Act (Chapter 147 of the 1985 Revised Edition).
Be it enacted by the President with the advice and consent of the Parliament of Singapore, as follows:
Short title and commencement
1.  This Act may be cited as the Judges’ Remuneration (Amendment) Act 1989 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st April 1989.
Amendment of section 2
2.  Section 2 of the Judges’ Remuneration Act is amended by deleting subsection (1) and substituting the following subsection:
“(1)  There shall be paid to —
(a)the Chief Justice an annual pensionable salary of $347,400; and
(b)every other Judge of the Supreme Court an annual pensionable salary of $234,600.”.
