Judges’ Remuneration (Amendment) Bill

An Act to amend the Judges’ Remuneration Act (Chapter 7 of the Revised Edition).
Be it enacted by the President with the advice and consent of the Parliament of Singapore, as follows: —
Short title and commencement
1.  This Act may be cited as the Judges’ Remuneration (Amendment) Act, 1979, and shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of November 1977.
Amendment of section 2
2.  Section 2 of the Judges’ Remuneration Act is amended by deleting subsection (1) thereof and substituting therefor the following: —
(1)  There shall be paid to —
(a)the Chief Justice an annual pensionable salary of one hundred and twenty-nine thousand seven hundred and eighty dollars;
(b)the senior Judge of the Supreme Court an annual pensionable salary of one hundred and three thousand eight hundred dollars; and
(c)every other Judge of the Supreme Court an annual pensionable salary of ninety-five thousand one hundred and sixty dollars.”.
