National Registration (Amendment) Bill

An Act to amend the National Registration Act (Chapter 45 of the Revised Edition).
Be it enacted by the President with the advice and consent of the Parliament of Singapore, as follows: —
Short title and commencement
1.  This Act may be cited as the National Registration (Amendment) Act, 1974.
Amendment of section 19
2.  Subsection (3) of section 19 of the National Registration Act is hereby amended —
(i)by deleting the full-stop appearing at the end thereof and substituting therefor a semi-colon; and
(ii)by inserting immediately thereafter the following new paragraph: —
(c)provide for the composition of offences which are prescribed therein by collecting from the person reasonably suspected of having committed the same a sum of money not exceeding one hundred dollars.”.
