Ngee Ann Technical College (Amendment No. 2) Bill

An Act to amend the Ngee Ann Technical College Act, 1967 (No. 23 of 1967).

Be it enacted by the President with the advice and consent of the Parliament of Singapore, as follows: —

Short title and commencement

1. This Act may be cited as the Ngee Ann Technical College (Amendment No. 2) Act, 1970, and shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of November 1970.

Amendment of section 17

2. Section 17 of the Ngee Ann Technical College Act, 1967, is hereby amended —

(a)

by re-numbering the existing section as subsection (1) and by deleting the expression “, subject to the provisions of section 20 of the Ngee Ann Kongsi (Incorporation) Ordinance,” appearing in paragraph (b) thereof; and

(b)

by adding thereto the following new subsection: —

“(2) Section 20 of the Ngee Ann Kongsi (Incorporation) Ordinance (Cap. 307) shall not apply to the alienation or donation of immovable property by the Ngee Ann Kongsi to the College.”.
