An Act to amend the Stamp Ordinance (Chapter 170 of the Revised Edition). |
Be it enacted by the President with the advice and consent of the Parliament of Singapore, as follows: — |
Short title and commencement |
1. This Act may be cited as the Stamp (Amendment) Act, 1965, and shall come into operation on such date as the Minister may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint. |
Amendment of section 2 |
2. Section 2 of the Stamp Ordinance is hereby amended —

Amendment of section 4 |
3. Subsection (1) of section 4 of the Stamp Ordinance is hereby amended: —

Amendment of section 7 |
4. Subsection (7) of section 7 of the Stamp Ordinance is hereby amended by deleting the words “the State of” appearing therein. |
Amendment of section 35 |
5. Section 35 of the Stamp Ordinance is hereby amended —

Amendment of section 51 |
6. Section 51 of the Stamp Ordinance is hereby amended by deleting the words “the Government of any part of the British Commonwealth” appearing in paragraph (e) of the proviso thereto and substituting therefor the words “any other Government or country”. |
Amendment of Schedule A |
7. Schedule A to the Stamp Ordinance is hereby amended —

Miscellaneous amendments |
8. The amendments specified in the second column of the Schedule to this Act shall be made in the respective sections of the Stamp Ordinance set out opposite thereto in the first column of the said Schedule. |
