Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the Building Maintenance and Strata Management (Exempt Treasurers) Order.

Exemption for treasurer of management corporation with 10 or fewer lots

2. An individual who is elected or appointed, or deemed elected or appointed, under section 55 of the Act to hold office as the treasurer of a management corporation for a strata title plan with 10 or fewer lots, or as the treasurer of the council of any such management corporation, shall be exempt —

(a)	from section 55(7) of the Act; and
(b)	from paragraph 11(3) of the Fourth Schedule to the Act in so far as that paragraph prohibits his being treasurer for more than 2 consecutive terms,

if, and only if, the management corporation, by a resolution by consensus, concurs with the individual’s election or appointment as treasurer for each further consecutive term.
