Citation
1.  These Regulations are the Executive Condominium Housing Scheme (Eligibility) Regulations 1996.
Definitions
2.  In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires —
“applicant” means any person who has applied to purchase any housing accommodation under the executive condominium scheme;
“nucleus family” means —
(a)an applicant and his or her spouse;
(b)an applicant and any of his or her parents; or
(c)an applicant who is widowed, legally separated from his or her spouse or divorced, and any of his or her children who are in his or her legal custody.
Eligibility conditions
3.  Any person who satisfies the following conditions is eligible to purchase a housing accommodation under the executive condominium scheme prior to the expiry of the minimum occupation period:
(a)he or she is a Singapore citizen or, in the case of a joint‑application to purchase the housing accommodation with a Singapore citizen, he or she is a Singapore citizen or a permanent resident, and at least one of the intended occupiers of the housing accommodation is a Singapore citizen or permanent resident;
(b)he or she is part of a nucleus family which must occupy the housing accommodation;
(c)the total gross monthly income of all the persons constituting the nucleus family, as at the date of making the application to purchase the housing accommodation, does not exceed $16,000;
(d)he or she has not entered into any agreement for the sale and purchase of any housing accommodation under the executive condominium housing scheme or any public housing accommodation; and
(e)he or she satisfies or complies with the terms and conditions contained in the application to purchase the housing accommodation issued by the developer.
