Citation
1.  This Order may be cited as the International Organisations (Immunities and Privileges) (INTELSAT) Order.
PART I
THE ORGANISATION
Legal capacity of INTELSAT
2.  INTELSAT is an organisation of the nature indicated in section 2(1) of the Act.
Immunity from suit and legal process
3.—(1)  INTELSAT shall have immunity from suit and legal process for the activities undertaken by the INTELSAT Asia-Pacific Regional Support Centre as listed in the Schedule.
(2)  Nothing in sub-paragraph (1) shall be construed as granting to INTELSAT immunity from suit and legal process for contravention of the Telecommunications Act (Cap. 323).
Inviolability of official archives and premises
4.—(1)  INTELSAT shall have the like inviolability of official archives and premises occupied as offices as is accorded in respect of the official archives and premises of an envoy of a foreign sovereign Power accredited to the Republic of Singapore.
(2)  Notwithstanding sub-paragraph (1), INTELSAT shall not permit its premises to be used as a refuge for avoiding arrest under the laws of Singapore or in any other manner incompatible with the purposes of the Asia-Pacific Regional Support Centre.
Exemption and relief from certain taxes and rates
5.  INTELSAT shall have the like exemption or relief from taxes and rates, other than import, export or excise duties, on any article as is accorded to a foreign sovereign Power.
