Adhesives; anti-fouling compositions; builders’ materials other than those containing asbestos as defined in Part II of the Poisons List; ceramics; distempers; electrical valves; enamels; explosives; fillers; fireworks; fluorescent lamps; glazes; glue; inks; lacquer solvents; loading materials; matches; motor fuels and lubricants except diesel oil; paints other than pharmaceutical paints, paints containing mercury compounds, paints containing lead compounds and paints containing asbestos as defined in Part II of the Poisons List; photographic paper; pigments; plastics; propellants; rubber; varnishes; vascular plants and their seeds.

Preparations for the relief of asthma in the form of cigarettes, smoking mixtures or fumigants; substances containing less than 0.1% of the alkaloids of lobelia.
Nicotine
Tobacco and tobacco products; preparations not intended for human consumption; other liquid preparations and solid preparations with a soap base, containing not more than 7.5% of nicotine, weight in weight.
Pomegranate, alkaloids of
Pomegranate bark.
Quinine
Tonic wines containing not more than 0.1% quinine calculated as base; aerated waters containing not more than 0.02% quinine calculated as base; other substances not being preparations for the treatment of human ailments. External preparations containing not more than 1% of quinine calculated as base.
Solanaceous alkaloids
Stramonium contained in preparations for the relief of asthma in the form of cigarettes, smoking mixtures or fumigants.
Stavesacre, alkaloids of
Soaps, ointments; lotions for external use.
p-Aminobenzenesulphonamide; its salts; derivatives of p-aminoben-zenesulphonamide having any of the hydrogen atoms of the p-amino group or of sulphonamide group substituted by another radical; their salts
Feeding stuffs containing not more than 0.5% of total sulphonamides; sulphaquinoxaline when contained to a concentration not exceeding 0.5% in preparations for the destruction of rats and mice; solutions containing not more than 16% w/v of total sulphonamides for the treatment of diseases in animals; preparation containing sulfadoxine 500 mg used as an anti-malarial prophylactic in approved institution only.
Acetic Acid
Substances containing less than 80%, weight in weight, of Acetic acid; preparations and solutions for photographic use.

Preparations and solutions of ammonia containing not more than 10%, weight in weight, of ammonia; refrigeration equipment; photographic and plan developers; hair colour dyes; perm lotions; smelling bottles.
Anionic surface active agents
Preparations containing less than 5% by weight of anionic surface active agents; preparations containing anionic surface active agents which are not less than 90% biodegradable under a test carried out in accordance with that part of the OECD method which is referred to as “Confirmatory Test Procedure” in European Communities Council Directive No. 73/405/EEC (C) or other equivalent test methods acceptable to the licensing officer.
Androgenic, oestrogenic and progestational substances, the following:
Benzoestrol
Derivatives of stilbene, dibenzyl or naphthalene with oestrogenic activity; their esters; their ethers; their salts
Steroid compounds with androgenic or oestrogenic or progestational activity; their esters; their ethers; their salts

Benzene
Substances containing less than 1% of benzene.
Benzene hexachloride (BHC)
Paper impregnated with not more than 0.3% of benzene hexachloride provided it is labelled with directions that no food, wrapped or unwrapped, or food utensils are to be placed on the treated paper, and that it is not to be used where food is prepared or served.
Benzocaine
External preparations containing not more than 1% of benzocaine.
Boric acid; sodium borate; as defined in Part I of the Poisons List
Medicinal preparations, cosmetics and toilet preparations containing not more than 5% boric acid, or 5% sodium borate or 5% of a combination of both; substances not being preparations intended for human consumption.
Boric acid; sodium borate; as defined in Part II of the Poisons List
Preparations containing boric acid or sodium borate or a combination of both and are not intended for food manufacturing or human consumption, but excluding such preparations where water or solvent forms the only other part of the composition.

Photographic solutions in individual containers containing not more than 15 kilograms each of such solutions and of aggregate weight of less than 500 kilograms of such solutions.
Creosote obtained from wood
Substances containing less than 50% of creosote obtained from wood.

Dibrom
Materials impregnated with Dibrom for slow release.

Ethylene oxide
Mixtures of inert gases and ethylene oxide comprising not more than 12%, weight in weight, of ethylene oxide contained in cylinders of water capacity less than 47 litres and for aggregate of not more than 3 numbers of such cylinders.
Ethyl mercaptan
Substances containing less than 1%, weight in weight, of mercaptan.
Formaldehyde
Substances containing less than 5%, weight in weight, of formaldehyde (H.CHO); photographic glazing or hardening solutions.
Formic acid
Substances containing less than 5%, weight in weight, of formic acid (H.COOH).
Furaltadone
Preparations for animal feeding containing furaltadone.
Furazolidone
Preparations for animal feeding containing furazolidone.
Gamma benzene hexachloride (Gamma BHC)
Paper impregnated with not more than 0.3% of gamma benzene hexachloride provided it is labelled with directions that no food, wrapped or unwrapped, or food utensils are to be placed on the treated paper, and that it is not to be used where food is prepared or served.
Heparin
Preparations intended for external use only.
Hexachlorophene
Substances containing not more than 0.1%, weight in weight, of hexachlorophene except preparations for infant use.
Hydrochloric acid
Substances containing less than 9%, weight in weight, of hydrochloric acid (HCL).
Hydrocyanic acid
Preparations of wild cherry; in reagent kits supplied for medical or veterinary purposes, substances containing less than the equivalent of 0.1%, weight in weight, of hydrocyanic acid (HCN).
Hydrofluoric acid
Preparations or solutions containing less than 2%, weight in weight, of hydrofluoric acid.
Hydrogen peroxide
Preparations and solutions containing less than 20%, weight in weight, of hydrogen peroixide.
Hydroquinone
Photographic solutions in individual containers containing not more than 15 kilograms each of such solutions and of aggregate weight of less than 500 kilograms of such solutions.
Hydroxyquinoline; its salts; its derivatives; their salts
Substances not being preparations for the treatment of human ailments.
Isocyanates
Polyisocyanates containing less than 0.7%, weight in weight, of free monomeric diisocyanates; pre-polymerised isocyanates in polyurethane paints and lacquers; hardeners and bonding agents for adhesives.
Lead acetate; compounds of lead with acids from fixed oils
Substances not being preparations intended for the treatment of human ailments; substances containing less than 4% of lead acetate.
Lignocaine hydrochloride
External preparation containing not more than 9.7% of lignocaine hydrochloride.
Mercury and its compounds in batteries
Batteries other than mercury oxide batteries, zinc carbon batteries containing more than 0.001% by weight of mercury per cell and alkaline batteries, except those in button form, containing more than 0.025 by weight of mercury per cell.

Substances containing the equivalent of not more than 17% of total caustic alkalinity expressed as potassium hydroxide; accumulators; batteries.
Procaine
When associated with not more than 1 in 10,000 parts with penicillin in preparations for animal feeding.
Sodium 4-(dimethylamino) benzene diazosulphonate
Dye-indicators used in laboratories.
Sodium ethyl mercurithiosalicylate
Therapeutic substances containing less than 0.1% of sodium ethyl mercurithiosalicylate as a preservative.
Sodium fluoride
Substances containing less than 3% of sodium fluoride as a preservative; dentifrices containing not more than 0.5% of sodium fluoride; mouth wash tablets containing not more than 0.2% of sodium fluoride and liquid mouth washes containing not more than 0.05% thereof; tablets containing not more than 0.016%, weight in weight, of sodium fluoride and intended, when chewed, to prevent tooth decay.
Sodium hydroxide
Substances containing the equivalent of not more than 17% of total caustic alkalinity expressed as sodium hydroxide; made-up formulated preparations either liquid or solid for biochemical tests.
Sodium nitrite
Substances other than preparations containing more than 0.1% of sodium nitrite for the destruction of rats and mice.
Sodium silicofluoride
Substances containing less than 3% of sodium silicofluoride as a preservative.
Sulphuric acid
Substances containing less than 9%, weight in weight, of sulphuric acid (H2SO4); accumulators; batteries and sealed containers in which sulphuric acid is packed together with car batteries for use in those batteries; fire extinguishers; Photographic developers containing less than 20%, weight in weight, of sulphuric acid.
Warfarin; its salts
Preparations for destruction of rats and mice containing not more than 0.1% of warfarin.
