Citation
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Public Utilities (Cessation of Employment on Special Grounds) Rules.
Circumstances leading to cessation of employment
2.  The Board may require any person employed by the Board to leave the employment of the Board —
(a)on the abolition of his post;
(b)for the purpose of facilitating improvement in the organisation of the department to which he belongs by which greater efficiency or economy may be effected;
(c)where, having regard to his usefulness in the service and all other circumstances of the case, the Board considers that it is desirable in the interest of the Board; or
(d)where he is unable to discharge efficiently the duties of his office.
Gratuity or allowance
3.  The Board may, if it thinks fit, grant such gratuity or other allowance as it thinks just and proper to a person who is required to leave the employment of the Board under rule 2.
