Citation |
1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Restricted Zone and Area Licences) Rules. |
Definitions |
2. In these Rules, unless the context otherwise requires —

Area licence required during restricted hours |
Application and prescribed fee |
4. Upon an application being made and upon payment of the prescribed fee, the Registrar or an authorised officer shall issue an area licence in such form as the Registrar may approve. |
Period of validity |
5.—(1) The area licence shall be valid for part of a day, one day or one month, as the case may be, in accordance with the amount of the fee paid.

Refund of fees — monthly area licence |
6.—(1) A holder of a monthly area licence may, at any time before the expiry of the licence, surrender his licence and apply for a refund of the fee paid for the unexpired period of the licence.

7. The area licence shall be affixed —

8. A sign as described in the Second Schedule shall be placed at every entry point on the borders of the restricted zone. |
Exemption |
9. The following vehicles shall be exempted from the provisions of these Rules:
