Parliamentary Elections (Prescribed Date) Order 2006
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5(4) of the Parliamentary Elections Act, the Prime Minister hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order may be cited as the Parliamentary Elections (Prescribed Date) Order 2006 and shall come into operation on 3rd January 2006.
Prescribed date
2.  For the purposes of section 5 (1), (1A) and (2) of the Act, the prescribed date shall be 1st January in any year instead of 1st July.
Revocation
3.  The Parliamentary Elections (Prescribed Date) Order (O 4) is revoked.
