(Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2021 —
Exemption) Order 2020

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 66 of the Active Mobility Act 2017, the Minister for Transport makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order is the Active Mobility (Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2021 — Exemption) Order 2020 and comes into operation on 18 December 2020.

Definitions

2. In this Order —

“Aux Media Group Pte. Ltd.” means the company incorporated under the Companies Act (Cap. 50) as Aux Media Group Pte. Ltd. (UEN 200822245K);

“specified activity” means the use of motor vehicles by Aux Media Group Pte. Ltd. to transport people and things in connection with the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2021 event —

(a)	from 8 a.m. on 18 December 2020 to 8 a.m. on 19 December 2020; and
(b)	from 8 a.m. on 1 January 2021 to 8 a.m. on 2 January 2021;

“specified footpath” means the part of the footpath delineated by the black‑coloured line in the map set out in the Schedule.

Exemption for driver of motor vehicle

3. Section 16(1)(b) of the Act does not apply to an individual who drives a motor vehicle on the specified footpath during the specified activity under the following conditions:

(a)	the individual is authorised by Aux Media Group Pte. Ltd. to drive the motor vehicle;
(b)	the motor vehicle is driven for the purposes of the specified activity;
(c)	the individual who drives the motor vehicle possesses a valid driving licence granted under the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Driving Licences) Rules (Cap. 276, R 27) authorising the individual to drive that vehicle;
(d)	there is in force a policy of insurance in relation to the motor vehicle insuring against any liability in respect of the death of or bodily injury sustained by any person, caused by or arising out of the use of the motor vehicle;
(e)	the risk under the policy of insurance mentioned in sub‑paragraph (d) is assumed by an insurer who, at the time of the issuance of the policy, is lawfully carrying on an insurance business in Singapore.
