Central Provident Fund
(Contribute As You Earn Scheme)
(Amendment) Regulations 2024
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 77(1) of the Central Provident Fund Act 1953, the Minister for Manpower, after consulting with the Central Provident Fund Board, makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.—(1)  These Regulations are the Central Provident Fund (Contribute As You Earn Scheme) (Amendment) Regulations 2024 and, except for regulation 3, come into operation on 1 January 2025.
(2)  Regulation 3 is deemed to have come into operation on 31 December 2021.
Amendment of Second Schedule
2.  In the Central Provident Fund (Contribute As You Earn Scheme) Regulations 2019 (G.N. No. S 881/2019), in the Second Schedule, after item 16, insert —
“17.Platform remuneration paid or payable to a platform worker on or after 1 January 2025.”.
Miscellaneous amendments
3.  In the Central Provident Fund (Contribute As You Earn Scheme) Regulations 2019 —
(a)in regulation 2, in the definition of “Government‑aided school”, replace “(Cap. 87A, Rg 1)” with “(Rg 1)”;
(b)in regulation 13(1), replace “(Cap. 134)” with “1947”;
(c)in regulation 13(2), after “Income Tax Act”, insert “1947”;
(d)in the Second Schedule, in item 14, replace “(Cap. 87)” with “1957”; and
(e)in the Second Schedule, in item 15, replace “(Cap. 87, Rg 1)” with “(Rg 1)”.
