Private Hospitals and Medical Clinics
(Licensable Healthcare Services —
Exemption) Regulations 2021
In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 21 and 22(1) of the Private Hospitals and Medical Clinics Act, the Minister for Health makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Private Hospitals and Medical Clinics (Licensable Healthcare Services — Exemption) Regulations 2021 and come into operation on 3 January 2022.
Exemption
2.—(1)  Subject to paragraph (2), from the appointed day for a licensable healthcare service, sections 5, 8, 9, 11, 12 and 14 of the Act and any regulations made under section 22 of the Act (except these Regulations) do not apply in relation to any premises or conveyance used to provide the licensable healthcare service, in respect of that licensable healthcare service.
(2)  Regulations 47 to 51 of the Private Hospitals and Medical Clinics Regulations (Rg 1) apply to the licensee of a medical clinic who is exempted under paragraph 9 of the Healthcare Services (Exemption) Order 2021 (G.N. No. S 1042/2021).
(3)  In this regulation, “licensable healthcare service” has the meaning given by section 3(1) of the Healthcare Services Act 2020.
