Town Council of Marsiling-Yew Tee (Penalties for Late Payment of Conservancy and Service Charges) By-laws 2016 |

Citation and commencement |
1. These By-laws are the Town Council of Marsiling-Yew Tee (Penalties for Late Payment of Conservancy and Service Charges) By‑laws 2016 and come into operation on 1 April 2016. |
Definitions |
2. In these By-laws, unless the context otherwise requires —

Calculation of penalties for charges in arrears |
3. Where —

Application of payment |
4. The Town Council may, in its discretion, apply any moneys paid by a tenant or owner under these By-laws —

Remission |
5. The Town Council may, in its discretion, remit wholly or in part any penalty payable under these By-laws. |
Cessation |
6. The following by-laws cease to have effect with respect to the areas in the former Towns of Sembawang and Chua Chu Kang that are now comprised in the Town of Marsling‑Yew Tee:

Transitional |
7. Where any penalty that has been imposed by the Town Council under any by‑laws in paragraph 6 remains unpaid on 31 March 2016, that penalty remains payable as if it had been imposed by the Town Council under these By-laws. |
