Diplomatic and Consular Officers (Oaths and Fees) Act
(Chapter 82)
Diplomatic and Consular Officers (Fees) (Amendment) Order 1996
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Diplomatic and Consular Officers (Oaths and Fees) Act, the Minister for Foreign Affairs hereby makes the following Order:
1.—(1)  This Order may be cited as the Diplomatic and Consular Officers (Fees) (Amendment) Order 1996 and shall, with the exception of paragraph 2, come into operation on 1st April 1996.
(2)  Paragraph 2 shall be deemed to have come into operation on 2nd January 1996.
2.  Item 7 of the Diplomatic and Consular Officers (Fees) Order (referred to in this Order as the principal Order) is amended —
(a)by inserting, immediately after the word “Singapore” in paragraph (1), the word “international”;
(b)by inserting, immediately after paragraph (1), the following paragraph:
(1A) Replacement fee for lost Republic of Singapore International Passport
 
(a)first replacement

(b)second and every subsequent replacement
100
”; and
(c)by deleting paragraph (3) and substituting the following paragraph:
(3) Republic of Singapore Passport for travel between Singapore and West Malaysia (validity not exceeding 10 years)

3.  Item 7 of the principal Order is amended —
(a)by deleting “5” in paragraph 6(a) and (b) and substituting in each case “10”;
(b)by deleting “20” in paragraph (7) and substituting “30”;
(c)by deleting “15” in paragraph (12) and substituting “20”; and
(d)by deleting “10” in paragraphs (17) and (18) and substituting in each case “15”.
4.  Item 8 of the principal Order is amended by deleting “15” in paragraphs (1), (2) and (4) and substituting in each case “20”.
