Medical Registration (Amendment) Regulations 2007

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 70 of the Medical Registration Act, the Singapore Medical Council, with the approval of the Minister for Health, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Medical Registration (Amendment) Regulations 2007 and shall come into operation on 1st April 2007.

Amendment of Second Schedule

2. The Second Schedule to the Medical Registration Regulations (Rg 1) is amended —

(a)

by deleting “$150” in item 1(b)(i) and substituting “$180”; and

(b)

by deleting item 3 and substituting the following items:

“

3.	Application for a practising certificate under section 36(1) of the Act by a medical practitioner registered in “The Register of Medical Practitioners”

$300 per year or part thereof

3A.	Application for a practising certificate under section 36(1) of the Act by a medical practitioner registered in “The Register of Temporarily Registered Medical Practitioners” —

(a)	for a practising certificate granted for a period of less than 6 months

$100

(b)	for a practising certificate granted for a period of 6 months to one year

$200

”.
