Constitution of the Republic of Singapore (Responsibility of the Minister for National Development) (Amendment) Notification 1999

Variation of Responsibility of Minister for National Development

It is hereby notified for general information that in pursuance of Article 30 of the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore, the Prime Minister has varied, with effect from 1st April 1999, the Schedule to the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore (Responsibility of the Minister for National Development) Notification 1997 (G.N. No. S 56/97) —

(a)

by deleting the words “Public Works Department.” under the heading “Departments/Statutory Bodies”;

(b)

by deleting the words “Construction Industry Development Board.” under the heading “Departments/Statutory Bodies” and substituting the words “Building and Construction Authority.”;

(c)

by deleting the following words under the heading “Subjects”:

“Public Works:

Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical, Geotechnical and Quantity Surveying Services.

Design, Construction and Maintenance of Government Buildings.

Control of Foreshore Structures.”; and

(d)

by inserting, immediately below the words “Development Control.” under the subject “Planning and Development Control” under the heading “Subjects”, the words “Control of Foreshore Structures.”.

Citation

2. This Notification may be cited as the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore (Responsibility of the Minister for National Development) (Amendment) Notification 1999.
