Central Provident Fund (Home Protection Insurance Scheme) (Amendment) Regulations 1998

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 39 of the Central Provident Fund Act, the Minister for Labour hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Central Provident Fund (Home Protection Insurance Scheme) (Amendment) Regulations 1998 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st December 1997.

Amendment of First Schedule

2. The First Schedule to the Central Provident Fund (Home Protection Insurance Scheme) Regulations (Rg 11) (referred to in these Regulations as the principal Regulations) is amended —

(a)

by deleting Tables 1 and 1A and substituting the following Table:

“Table 1A

(For policies entered into or adjusted on or after 1st December 1997)

”.

(b)

by deleting Tables 2 and 2A and substituting the following Table:

“Table 2A

(For policies entered into or adjusted on or after 1st December 1997)

”.

(c)

by deleting Tables 3 and 3A and substituting the following Table:

“Table 3A

(For policies entered into or adjusted on or after 1st December 1997)

”; and

(d)

by deleting Tables 4 and 4A and substituting the following Table:

“Table 4A

(For policies entered into or adjusted on or after 1st December 1997)

”.

Amendment of Second Schedule

3. The Second Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)	by inserting, immediately below the heading “TABLE 2” in Table 2, the words “(For policies entered into or adjusted on or after 1st November 1981 but before 1st July 1986)”; and
(b)	by deleting the words “(For policies entered into on or after 1st July 1995 but before 1st March 1995)” immediately below the heading “TABLE 2A” in Table 2A and substituting the words “(For policies entered into or adjusted on or after 1st July 1986)”.

Deletion and substitution of Third Schedule

4. The Third Schedule to the principal Regulations is deleted and the following Schedule substituted therefor:

“THIRD SCHEDULE

Regulations 7,8 and 13

TABLE 1

(For policies entered into or adjusted before 1st March 1995)
