National Registration (Amendment) Regulations 1997

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 of the National Registration Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the National Registration (Amendment) Regulations 1997 and shall come into operation on 1st April 1997.

Deletion and substitution of Schedule

2. The Schedule to the National Registration Regulations (Rg 2) is deleted and the following Schedule substituted therefor:

“THE SCHEDULE

Regulation 24

1.	For the issue of an identity card to a citizen of Singapore —

(a)	on registration or re-registration under regulation 4

$6.

(b)	on re-registration under regulation 14

$8.

2.	For the issue of an identity card to a person who is not a citizen of Singapore —

(a)	on registration or re-registration under regulation 4

$16.

(b)	on re-registration under regulation 14

$16.

3.	For the replacement of a lost identity card —

(a)	first replacement

$25.

(b)	second replacement

$55.

(c)	third and every subsequent replacement

$105.

4.	For the replacement of an identity card due to damage, defacement or change of particulars

$30.
