Parliamentary Elections (Excluded Election Advertising) Regulations 2011
In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 78B(2)(f) and 102 of the Parliamentary Elections Act, the Prime Minister hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Parliamentary Elections (Excluded Election Advertising) Regulations 2011 and shall come into operation on 14th March 2011.
Definition
2.  In these Regulations, “party political broadcast” means a broadcast of a speech —
(a)made by one or more candidates of a political party whose candidates are nominated for election at a general election or an election in an electoral division, as the case may be; and
(b)advocating, offering or inviting support for, that political party.
Party political broadcasts on eve of polling day
3.  Section 78B(1) of the Act shall not apply to the publication or display, or causing or permitting to be published or displayed, of a party political broadcast made —
(a)at any time on the eve of polling day at a general election or at an election in an electoral division; and
(b)on any radio or television broadcasting service provided by a broadcaster licensed to provide such a service under the Broadcasting Act (Cap. 28).
