Legal Profession (Admission)
(Amendment) Rules 2015

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10(1) and (2) of the Legal Profession Act, the Board of Directors of the Singapore Institute of Legal Education, after consulting the Minister for Law and the Council of the Law Society of Singapore, makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Legal Profession (Admission) (Amendment) Rules 2015 and come into operation on 20 March 2015.

Amendment of rule 16

2. Rule 16(2) of the Legal Profession (Admission) Rules 2011 (G.N. No. S 244/2011) is amended by deleting sub-paragraph (c) and substituting the following sub-paragraph:

“(c)	any qualified person who is able to complete his service of his practice training period before he attends any part of the preparatory course leading to Part B of the Singapore Bar Examinations; and”.
