Infectious Diseases Act
(Amendment of First and Second Schedules)
(No. 2) Notification 2020

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 70 of the Infectious Diseases Act, the Minister for Health makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification is the Infectious Diseases Act (Amendment of First and Second Schedules) (No. 2) Notification 2020 and comes into operation on 28 February 2020.

Amendment of First Schedule

2. The First Schedule to the Infectious Diseases Act is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after item 5, the following item:

“5A. Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID‑19).”; and

(b)

by deleting item 35.

Amendment of Second Schedule

3. The Second Schedule to the Infectious Diseases Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting item 1 and substituting the following items:

“1. Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID‑19).

1A. Ebola.”; and

(b)

by deleting item 6.
