(CHAPTER 7)

Animals and Birds (Dog Licensing and Control) (Amendment) Rules 1997

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 70 of the Animals and Birds Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Animals and Birds (Dog Licensing and Control) (Amendment) Rules 1997 and shall come into operation on 1st April 1997.

Amendment of rule 5

2. Rule 5 of the Animals and Birds (Dog Licensing and Control) Rules (R 1) is amended —

(a)

by deleting “$10” in paragraph (1)(a) and substituting “$12”;

(b)

by deleting “$50” in paragraph (1)(b) and substituting “$60”;

(c)

by deleting sub‑paragraph (c) of paragraph (1) and substituting the following sub‑paragraph:

“(c)	Sterilized dog licence

$12 per annum.”;

(d)

by deleting “$10” in paragraph (2)(a) and substituting “$12”;

(e)

by deleting “$50” in paragraph (2)(b) and substituting “$60”; and

(f)

by deleting sub-paragraph (c) of paragraph (2) and substituting the following sub-paragraph:

“(c)	Sterilized dog licence

$12 per annum.”.

Amendment of rule 6

3. Rule 6(4) of the Animals and Birds (Dog Licensing and Control) Rules is amended by deleting “$4” and substituting “$10”.
